The Broke Girl’s Guide to Getting in Shape

1. Start Running
Whether you live in a big city or a small town, running is free. If that doesn’t inspire you to run, consider signing yourself up for a 5k. For even more motivation, get a few friends to sign-up as well. The Color Run is always a great choice for new runners — it’s fun and their training program is excellent (and free)!

2. Workout at Home
Join a virtual gym or find a fitness guru who offers free classes via Youtube. Crunch Gym recently launched Crunch Live, which is an affordable alternative to a pricey gym membership. For just $9.99 per month, you’ll get access to great fitness classes from your computer. Classes include Yoga Body Sculpt, Stiletto Strength, Barre Assets, Pilates, and Kickboxing.

If free is what you’re looking for, we highly recommend Cassey Ho on Youtube. Her videos are great for those looking to tone-up and get the heart rate up in as little as 15 minutes a day.
